With a narrower footprint that standard round coils, the Viper’s energy is highly focused, making it sharp on fine jewelry, coins, and relics.

Fully Waterproof: The entire searchcoil can be submerged while searching for lost treasure in lakes, streams, and oceans.

Protective Cover: Each searchcoil is shipped with a searchcoil cover to prevent the coil from being scratched or damaged when swept over rocks, gravel, and other rough soils.

Note: Updating your Vortex detector to the latest firmware version is critical to ensure proper coil performance and accurate Target ID. The current firmware required for each detector is as follows: Firmware 5.02 or higher for VX5; Firmware 7.02 or higher for VX7; Firmware 9.09 or higher for VX9.

Vortex search coils have a unique waterproof connector and are not compatible with other Garrett detectors. Such as the ACE series, AT detectors, or Apex.
