I am a new customer and recently purchased (at a good price) the Garrett 8" mono coil accessory for my ATX metal detector...that process went ok...
Then I was sent a 'gift certificate' along with, which isn't actually redeemable by me as the customer when putting together a follow-up order...
Your company treats that gift certificate as a 'discount code' and THEN THE SHIPPING PORTION OF THE CART TRANSACTION DOESNT RECOGNIZE THAT THE $DOLLAR AMOUNT AS TOTALED QUALIFIES FOR 'FREE SHIPPING' ON ITS OWN...(you have a real problem if that continues)
Therefore your staff have to attempt to satisfy the glitch by offering up a discount code called 'freeship' to fix the shipping glitch...BUT THEN THE DAMN GIFT CERTIFICATE CANT BE REDEEMED SINCE IT TOO, IS TREATED AS A DISCOUNT CODE AND IT GENERATES AN ERROR MESSAGE IN THE CART'S PAYMENT SECTION...
To make matters more frustrating, you seem to now have 2 (two) shipping policy thresholds for qualifying for free shipping...
In the general website it apparently states it is $150 to qualify, BUT in the cart payment section (where a customer would actually check/verify if their purchase is meeting a free ship cutoff), it clearly states that it is $100+
In my case, I communicated multiple times with at least three different employees and two tried to remedy the problem... ONE by offering up a discount code of 'freeship' and ANOTHER that offered a 10% discount (TAKE10)...
BUT, THE CATCH IS THAT EACH OF THOSE NEGATE THE USE OF THE 'EARNED GIFT CERTIFICATE' BASED ON A PREVIOUS PURCHASE AND PROMOTED AS 'WELL DESERVED'
SO, it is a mess to attempt to self-serve the order system cart process...
Your website is messed up if it can't qualify the dollar total as for free shipping when the legitimate threshold is met...
AND if multiple employees state differing solutions are possible but don't actually follow through by making invoice corrections so free shipping AND the gift certificate can be on the same order then change/delete that incentive package if you can't do both...
I dont appreciate being told by one employee that their 'on it'... but don't follow through... THEN to have a different employee work on the problem but contradict what was already promised by another...
Going around in circles is a terrible incentive to keep trying as a new customer...
I have, as of now, completed two orders with your company but still am told I must make a third order to redeem that dammed gift certificate EVEN THOUGH A DIFFERENT EMPLOYEE TOLD ME ON THE PHONE THEY WOULD ADJUST THE PURCHASE TOTAL ON MY CREDIT CARD TO REDEEM THAT $20 AMOUNT ON ORDER #2...
I dont see any incentive to try any further because so many of your staff give contradictory info...
If you can't fix order number 2 from me
( customer order #2298), then I'm convinced the gift certificate is a joke...
BTW, your exclusive use of USPS to ship is not a economically practicle, since the rates are so excessive compared to a UPS or a FEDEX shipper...
