DEUS II Software Update – Version 3.1 now available!
XP has released version 3.1, which continues to improve the DEUS II
It adds the following features:
Optimized GOLDFIELD program (for gold prospecting):
Improvements:
- Greater sensitivity on small gold nuggets down to 0.01g.
- New, more dynamic audio response.
- Improved ground management with a more accurate GRAB.
Usage tips:
- Perform an accurate GROUND BALANCE
- Lower the sensitivity to adapt to highly mineralized ground. Set the sensitivity just below the instability threshold.
- Increase REACTIVITY on VERY mineralized ground.
Note: To restore the GOLDFIELD program from previous versions, switch to PITCH tone, lower the AUDIO RESPONSE to 3, and disable the AUDIO FILTER.
Added a new PITCH 2 tone (available in all programs):
This new tone, resulting from the GOLDFIELD enhancement, better highlights deep/small targets while attenuating ground noise.
ℹ️ The original PITCH sound has not been modified
Bug fixes:
- Correct the FE T.ID bug in Mono program.
- Increase the TID display speed for Multi-frequency programs.
- Various bug fixes

The V3.0 release brought significant enhancements that increased the DEUS II precision and versatility, especially in iron-infested and mineralized ground conditions:
- Compatibility with the new HF2 coil, a high-performance multi-frequency search coil
- Negative Silencer values for better detection of good targets masked by iron
- Faster and more reactive T.ID, offering clearer target identification
- Ground/IRON Break adjustment, giving users more control over iron audio feedback
- New “PULSE” audio mode, improving deep target detection with the Xtrem Hunter accessory

WS6 AND WSAII / WSAIIXL Headphones
Please note that it is mandatory to update your WS6, WSAII and WSAII XL wireless headphones to the same version as the remote control, otherwise they will not work.
- Select the "WS6 or WSAII" tab at the top of the updater page. The WSAII and WSAII XL use the same updater file / tab.
- Follow the instructions given by the updater to set your headphones to update mode.

How to update with the new online updater
1. Access the updater:
Visit XP’s official online updater page from your computer (preferably using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge).
2. Connect your remote control:
Use the USB cable to connect the remote to your computer. Make sure it is turned on.
3. Select your device:
At the top of the updater page, choose the appropriate tab:
Remote for the remote control
WS6 or WSAII for headphones (WS6, WSAII, WSAII XL)
4. Follow the on-screen instructions:
The updater will guide you step by step. If you are updating the headphones, you will need to put them in update mode by following the instructions provided.
5. Update all devices to the same version:
Make sure your remote, headphones, and any other accessories are all updated to the same firmware version; otherwise, they will not work together properly.
