Great Metal Detector
by Dale Fife
The Nokta Simplex+ turned out to be a great choice given price vs. capability and quality. It is a user friendly detector basically right out of the box, but it is worth the time to read through the manual and investigate what others have commented on from a stand point of settings and tips related to depths and detection methods. Spring weather at my location hasn't been the greatest but I have been able to use the detector a few times thus far. One thing I really appreciate is the light weight and balance and the fact that it is a rechargeable unit (as are the headphones). Wireless headphones are a real benefit. I've had good success on wheat pennies so far just in my yard with solid VDI numbers consistently in the mid 70's. I like using the field mode with sensitivity set around 90% on F2 frequency (default) and iron tone volume shut off (lots of iron/trash on the property to contend with). Park mode works well and is likely a good option when dealing with pull tabs/screw tops which are common. To my knowledge, Nokta does not offer any additional coils for this detector which is unfortunate - I think a smaller perhaps concentric coil would improve trash separation and pinpointing capability. It does take some practice to pinpoint accurately, at least for me so far. I set up a test garden in advance of receiving the detector with a penny, nickel and quarter as test objects all at an 8" depth. No problem with getting a signal but VDI's are jumpy. Can't go wrong buying this!
An amazing machine
by Griffin J.
Bought the simplex solely for underwater hunts in the summer and didn't expect much from it. When I received it I decided to go to one of my favorite spots in a wooded area and immediately came to the conclusion that it performed way higher then I expected. Immediately hit deep and small targets such as lantern parts and old pull tabs. Later that day I let my friend who has never touched a detector try it out. His third hole was a 6 inch 1927 wheat and his 11th hole was a 6 inch 1783 Mexico City minted half Reale. I was flabbergasted. The next day I let my brother borrow it who has experience detecting and after an hour he found a silver spill. A 31 Merc, a 39 Washington and a 52 Roosevelt. Both days I found no silver coins with my t2 Teknetics. A machine that's double the price. It's constructed very well, it's crazy light, the screen is awesome, it hits deep and hard and it's attractive to look at. The only complaint it con I have is that the sounds it makes are kinda ear piercing and loud. The simplex is really amazing for the price and like Nokta Makro had said, will EASILY out perform metal detectors at its price point. buy one.
Best metal detector for Price
by Nathan Williams
You will not find a metal detector at this quality. The Simplex is without a doubt built like it was being sold for 800 or so. It's depth is as all Nokta Makro machines unrivaled....I recommend this detector for beginners or professionals. Because it absolutely has the most to offer in its class and so much more. Get it... You'll be blown away

The Nokta Simplex+ is the first detector I have ever used. We were on vacation and my cousin and her family brought these and they let my son and I borrow one. I have arthritis and this was very light weight and easy to hold. It was well put together and durable. I definitely found a new hobby.

I am enjoying my Simplex. While I'm relatively new to detecting, I find the Simplex very easy to use. It gives great depth and pinpoints with great accuracy. It is an amazing machine, I highly recommend it.

Nice detector lightweight easy to swing great features
by James Watson
I purchased the simplex I've had a lot of different brands and decided to try this one because of the great features it has for the price. Couldn't find any other detector that was waterproof to 10feet, 11 inch coil, backlighting, flashlight on the back, and you can do any updates that come out by plugging it into the computer instead of having to send it in. Lightweight very easy to swing. Ive used 6 different detectors in my yard and hunted it over 50 times till I was finding nothing. Went over it with the simplex and I've been finding some good items that I didn't get before so seems to be a great detector and cant beat the price
