How to Pay with a Credit Card via PayPal

When you select PayPal at checkout — or receive a PayPal invoice from us — you do not need a PayPal account. You can pay directly with your preferred credit or debit card, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

Here's how to find the credit card option inside the PayPal interface:

Step-by-Step: Pay with a Credit Card via PayPal

  1. At checkout or on your invoice, click Pay with PayPal or View and Pay Invoice.
  2. A PayPal window will appear prompting you to log in. Do not log in.
  3. Look for the link below the login fields that says “Pay with Debit or Credit Card” and click it.
  4. Enter your card details: card number, expiration date, CVV, and billing address.
  5. If prompted to create a PayPal account, you can decline and continue as a guest.
  6. Review your order total and click Pay Now to complete your purchase.
